Werning Cattle Company was originally founded in 2001.  It is located in Huntsville, Texas, which is in the heart of the Piney Woods of East Texas. WCC is owned and operated by Gene Werning and Andrea Richter-Werning.  Although Gene manages the business on a day-to-day basis, both have been involved in agriculture most of their lives.  Gene was raised on a farm in Iowa and Andrea was raised on a farm in South Texas.  Both have had their own success in the junior livestock ring in both Iowa and Texas.  Because of this, they have built a reputation in the show cattle industry over the past 25 years.

Our mission is to provide quality livestock to the show cattle industry.  We are in the business of breeding and raising show steers and show heifers to be competitive at the junior livestock competition level.  We pride ourselves in the quality of our cattle and our facilities.  We have both a Spring born and a Fall born breeding program.  We invite you to come visit our ranch and view our cattle.
